Low-frequency RFID for access control, attendance, lockers and animal identification - cards, key tags, wristbands and readers that work reliably at short range, even near water and metal.

LF RFID (low frequency, 125 kHz and 134.2 kHz) is the oldest and simplest form of RFID. LF tags read at short range - usually a few centimetres - and are tolerant of water and nearby metal, which is why they are still widely used for door access, attendance machines, lockers, parking and animal identification.
Indian RFID supplies 125 kHz proximity cards and key tags with EM4100/EM4200 (read-only ID) and T5577 (rewritable, can emulate many formats) chips, 134.2 kHz ISO 11784/11785 tags for animal identification, and LF readers. Cards can be printed with your logo, photo and number in Delhi - see RFID PVC cards.
LF tags are usually cards, fobs, glass or coin tags rather than paper labels, because LF antennas are coils of copper wire. Learn more in types of RFID tags and RFID frequencies.

ExploreChoose LF when you already have 125 kHz readers installed, when tags must read at very short range only, or for animal identification where 134.2 kHz is the standard. For new access systems that need better security, consider 13.56 MHz MIFARE DESFire or similar cards, as basic 125 kHz cards carry only an ID number and can be copied. For reading many items at a distance, see UHF RFID labels.
Most attendance and door machines in India read EM4100-format cards, which we supply. Send us your reader model or a sample card and we will confirm compatibility before you order.
EM4100 is a read-only chip with a fixed ID number. T5577 is rewritable and can be programmed to emulate EM and some other 125 kHz formats, which is useful for duplicating or replacing cards.
They carry a simple ID without encryption, so they are suitable for convenience access, attendance and lockers, but not for high-security use. For higher security we recommend 13.56 MHz encrypted cards.
Animal identification uses 134.2 kHz under ISO 11784/11785 (FDX-B and HDX), in ear tags, boluses and glass implants.
