RFID is now used in jewellery showrooms, garment factories, warehouses, hospitals, toll plazas and libraries across India - but most companies still struggle to find people who can design, install and support an RFID system end to end. Indian RFID, the RFID division of Mindware (New Delhi, since 1997), has launched RFID Courses in India to close that gap: a practical, 1-month Certified RFID Specialist program taught by engineers who deliver RFID projects every week.

The 4-week syllabus

Week 1 - RFID foundations and tags. How RFID works (coupling, backscatter, anti-collision), choosing between LF, HF/NFC and UHF, tag types and chips from Impinj, NXP, Alien and EM. Lab: read and compare 20+ tag types on metal, liquid and cartons.

Week 2 - Readers, antennas and read range. Fixed, handheld and integrated readers, antenna gain and polarisation, direction of travel, power and RSSI tuning, standards (EPC Gen2 / ISO 18000-63, ISO 14443/15693) and the India UHF band of 865-867 MHz. Lab: configure a 4-port reader, a portal and a handheld inventory.

Week 3 - Data, encoding and software. Tag memory banks, EPC / SGTIN-96 encoding, locking, RFID printers and BarTender label software, middleware, LLRP/MQTT and ERP/WMS integration. Lab: encode GS1 SGTIN labels and push reads to a dashboard.

Week 4 - Projects, ROI and certification. Site surveys, tag testing, step-by-step solutions for jewellery, warehouses, inventory, laundry and car parking, a FASTag case study, cost and ROI, and a capstone project with assessment.

Live online classes - practical session in New Delhi if needed

All classes are live online, so you can join from anywhere in India or abroad. Trainers demonstrate real tags, readers, antennas and printers on camera, and if you need practical, hands-on training we arrange a session at Indian RFID, Dwarka, New Delhi. Students who complete the labs, the assessment and the capstone project receive the Indian RFID Certified RFID Specialist certificate.
